School Orientation Program: Al Azhar 34 Senior High School Yogyakarta Holds a Game of Guessing the Clues



SLEMAN - Al Azhar 34 Senior High School Yogyakarta held a three-day School Orientation Program aimed for helping students to adapt with the new school environment and culture, introducing teachers and staff, school rules, extracurricular activities, and providing information about various facilities and activities that available at the school. The activities included Guessing a clue game, FGD’s class, Art and Culture, and Tahfidz & Tahsin test. 

Guessing a Clue Game is related to the school tour to encourage students to explore the school in an unconventional way. They walk around the school and get to know the school by solving the clues. 

FGD’s Class with the theme “What kind of learning style makes you comfortable and enjoy learning” aims to boost students' confidence by encouraging them to express their opinions and speak in front of the class. We also collaborate with NIU teachers to share common learning styles used in America.

Art and Culture which is collaborating activity with NIU teachers, students discuss different types of hotdogs and engage in a hotdog making activity, taking turns to grill the  sausages and the art & culture activity. 

As an Islamic-based school, Tahsin and Tahfidz test assesses students' ability to recite Quran. The test result will be use to design strategies in Quranic teaching and learning.
